Securus Reunites Families Through Video Visitation

It’s Christmas morning and on one side of the video screen an incarcerated father waits anxiously to see his young son pop onto the video screen. It’s obvious that the son just woke up as he is in his pajamas still. The father wishes the son a Merry Christmas and asks if he opened his presents yet. The son stated that he was waiting for his dad to video visit.

The rest of the video the father and mother watch as the son opens his presents and visits with his dad through the video screen. Years ago this technology would never have been possible, but now families can schedule visits together anytime and anywhere. Inmates can participate in everyday and special activities and be a part of the family life outside of the inmate’s facility.

Securus’ Video Visitation makes it easier for visits to happen. And lastly video visits help the inmates stay involved in family so they want to get out of their facility to return to life outside the penal system and have less chance at recividism.

Securus Technologies has been on the cutting edge of technology for both the penal system and public safety since it’s inception. Located in Dallas, Texas, Securus specializes in emergency response, investigation, incident management, public safety, biometric analysis, information management, and inmate self service. Securus serves over 3,400 facilities and 1,200,000 inmates nationwide and works to provide safe and secure communication for facilities and inmates every day.

  1. It saves travel time to the facility, money for gas and fees, and waiting time. It also helps those who can’t travel to the facility to visit their loved ones. I like the fact that the best essays review could have given up what they needed at that particular point in time.
